Lemon cake

Ingredients:

Cake
2 cups flour
1 1/2 tps baking powder
1/2 tps bicarbonate of soda
1tps salt
10 tbsp butter
1 1/4 cup sugar
3 eggs
1 tps vanilla extract
2/3 cup milk
3 tps lemon zest grated
1/3 cup lemon juice


Butter cream
2 cups icing sugar
1 tps lemon zest grated
1/4 cup lemon juice
450g At room temp

Step 1: sift together dry ingredients .
Step 2: whisk wet ingredients , once your done using a specula or wooden spoon mix together both dry and wet ingredients together .
Step 3:Butter 2 or 3 baking pans it will depend on what size your pan is .
Step 4: Pour your batter in the pans then put a dish cloth or thick material around each pan , and bake at 180 degrees for 30min
Step 5: For the the butter cream soften your butter by whisking it as you whisk keep adding a bit of icing sugar .
Step 6: add the lemon juice and lemon zest and you’ll have a beautiful butter cream.
Step 7: take one layer lemon sponge then butter cream till you’ve put all three sponges finally , spread butter cream around and on top of the cake and your done.
